Hi Guys
I can get Debian 3.0 r2 installed on my Samsung T10 no problem. The only
problem is, is that I have to use the VESA drivers and they don't give
options for 1400 x 1050 screen resolution, the nearest is 1280 x 1024.
GNome works fine (KDE hangs and gos back to the log in??) but obviously

Have you solved your pbm ?
I have the same pbm with kernel 2.6 as it doesn't detect my card.

At least on the one box that I run with 2.6 (not a laptop), that was

I also have a Xircom (10/100 + modem) with 2.6.1. It works with CardBud +

So you use the pcmcia-cs and cardmgr, which is deprecated for the

Reading between the lines on this thread, I gather there is no problem
getting full X functionality (including 3D acceleraton) with
ATI Radeon Mobility 7500 only
kernel 2.4 only
X11 4.3 (maybe with patch?)
I am looking at a Thinkpad R40.

Greetings-
i'm trying to install debian on a new (to me) laptop, an IBM Thinkpad 240.
I put an SMC 8036TX card in it, which is a CardBus 10/100 NIC. I've tried
using the floppy images for woody and for sarge, to no avail - in neither
case can I get the network up, so I can't continue the installa

Greetings,
today I started reading the debian-lists - so please don't flame me 'cause of
asking some 'stupid' questions.
1.
Is there an archive of the debian-lists, where I cans search for a solution on
my problem.
2.
I've got a Centrino Notebook - what about installing Debian 3.0 on it?

I know it runs well on my iBook, I don't really know about PowerBook.
There is Debian PPC mail list. If you haven't, put your question

Or APM. APM works fine on all 2.4.x kernels on all laptops I've tried, it
seems broken in 2.6 though.
