12-15kb/s. I read that it could work better with the "linux-wlan-ng" driver. So
i did "apt-get install linux-wlan-ng" and packages where installed. Now nothing

I have gone back and forth between a desktop or notebook quite a bit, and
I have finally decided that I want to get a notebook. Of course, the real
challenge is finding an affordable one with Linux preinstalled

I've done a debian (3.0) install on a laptop having a FDD and PCMCIA
slot, but no cdrom. The default debian floppy disks do not have full
support for PCMCIA devices, so I needed to put in cardmgr support files
and a statically linked cardmgr.
FDDs on laptops are good to have for simple data tran
