reset console echo mode

2003-05-20 Thread jochen issing
Hi List, I am wondering how to reset the console echo mode, whenever I cancelled the cvs password-promt. I know it is possible, but can't find the escape sequence/command. Thanks, jochen -- jochen issing mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] http://www.mcf-music.d

USB-cardreader on PowerPC?

2003-05-20 Thread Jan Braun
Hi all, I'm trying to read images from a digital camera via an USB connected card reader on my Pismo Powerbook. I use the cardreader on my intel laptop as well on one of my USB capable intel desktops. Hence, I thought, I knew, how it works. But I can't manage it to work on my PPC. I build a 2.

Toshiba laptops & Debian

2003-05-20 Thread Pisut Tempatarachoke
Hi everybody,    I am very very new to Linux, and hoping to buy a laptop that is most compatible with Debian.  Could anyone please provide me with comments on Debian GNU/Linux and Toshiba laptops (or more specifically Tecra S1 1.4 GHz) compatability, and perhaps suggest which laptop I might
