Hi, I have question concerning this drive. I recently discovered that I only get about 10x cd reading speed from this drive in this laptop. That is not exactly what I expect from a drive that should read cd's at 24x speed. Have you seen this? And do you also get just 4x audio reading speed? Seems

Hi, I have installed the latest woody release on an HP Omnibook XE3. I also updated the kernel to 2.4.17-686. The startx command ends up with a 'no screens found'. I checked for info on google and all I know is that the graphic card is an 'Intel 830M'. Please help... Thanks, Alex. -- Al

I'm trying to upgrade the kernel I'm running on my Thinkpad from 2.4.7 to 2.4.16 I can't find any deb packages for the Lucent modem modules for current kernel versions. The last one I can find is for 2.4.14, before the major VM fixes. What's up? Thanks, -- Ignasi.

I figured out my problem with building the ltmodem drivers with kernel 2.4.16 It turned out to be some strange problem with the kernel headers. I installed the headers from the kernel-headers-2.4.16 Debian package. This caused the ltmodem build script to not owrk because detecting an SMP configurat
