Hi Fabian,
thanx for your tips, I should have noted that I have the
ATI Rage Mobility 128 graphic chipset, simply forgot that there
are 2 versions of I8000.
I've scaned all entries on www.linux-laptop.net as well as the
linux-dell-laptops list on egroup.net.

The ATI Rage Mobility M1 on my HP Omnibook 4050B, F1976, works with these
parameters as well. +HSync and +VSync may be omitted.

I can't make this card work with Debian, though it works ok with
another Thinkpad with RedHat installed.
When 'cardmgr' inserts the aha152x_cs module, this provokes scsi
"aborting command due to timeout" error messages and the system
becomes unuseable. Thi

I have used Tecra's in the past, and they are good machines. A friend
suggests she has heard stories about their technical support slipping,
but I've never had trouble. She's just had a lot of trouble with a new
Dell, and she's using my Tecra780 to get her schoolwork done.

Hallo again,
yes, I got that S-Video thing running under WinMe :-(
and it works exactly as described below.
I tried groups.google.com as you suggested with no result.
I'll give it a last try with [EMAIL PROTECTED]

Hi!
I have a minor cosmetic problem with pcmcia modules built from pcmcia-cs
source (debian package named pcmcia-source). Whenever I load the pcmcia
modules (or whenever they are automatically loaded) I get this error:
Warning: loading /lib/modules/2.4.16-grsec-1.9-spiritus/pcmcia/ds.o will
