Hello everyone, I have a problem with the pcmcia-modules package. I use kernel-image-2.2.19, and normally there is a version of the pcmcia-modules for every kernel image. Version 2.2.19 is only available for unstable. Any suggestions how to get it to work? I am not a Debian developer, just a user

Hi! I would recommend you to configure and compile your own customized kernel-source. There is a lot of stuff in these images, for example drivers for devices which you don't have. After making your new kernel bootable, boot this kernel and then go to /usr/usr/pcmcia (after unpacking the source

Hi, Got a Dell Inspiron running fine with UXGA (1600x1200) and the NVIDIA card (and a little help from our friends on the list). With that card X can unfortunately not be stopped and restarted again though - after setting up I find that is no serious constraint. Best, Kai -
