I have an Latitude LS with the NM256 soundcard. I really tried hard to get the soundcard working with the open-source drivers but no luck, It always crashed when the nm256 module was loaded. I got tired of it and bought the commercial driver instead, it really works great. I talked to some people

Ive got an IBM Thinkpad760EL U6G. It has a 11.3" 8bit 800x600 DSTN LCD(all the XF86Config's ive looked at so far have been for the 12.1" TFT). Im needing the horiz & vert sync rates for my X config(I usually use XF86Setup program). thanks crit _

I do work for HP so this is a biased opinion...nonetheless, on the newer side, I've been using HP OmniBook 500 and OmniBook 6000 laptops and love 'em both. The 500 is very lightweight and easy to schlep around, with 3+ hour battery life easy. But, my eyesight is not the best in the world, so I ty
