I've got a Dell Inspiron 7500 and have tried compiling the apm in the
kernel with several different configurations.. the battery monitor and all
that good stuff works fine, but I've never had any luck with resuming
after a suspend (I close the lid and the machine freezes completely).

i have a dell c600, is there a tool to setup the touchpad as the one
in windows ?
I've got debian stable running on my Thinkpad 560 and most things are
working great. I only have two problems:
1) I can't get sound to work. The laptop has a ESS 1688 card in it and

i had the same problem on my tp570 with xf4 and gpm. so i disabled the
gpm and everything works fine.
ps: for some reason i could never use the wheel of a wheel mouse.
