Hi,
I'm having a huge problem trying to upgrade my kernel to
Potato. I'm trying to do it all vie floppy disk, because
I haven't been able to set up my PCMCIA network card
yet. The kernel image is 13MB, which poses a bit of a
challenge, as I don't think superdisks will work on my
normal floppy drive
Maybe something like try to setup a serial/parallel link
and use zmodem to transfer your data
It is also very hard to update your kernel to potato
either update your distro to potato, or your kernel to the
latest and greaters 2.2 or 2.4 kernel...

Hi, I have a laptop with an ES1869 AudioDrive
card, which I have tried to compile into windows 2000. It seems not to be
working properly. Any suggestions, where to download the right driver.
Thanks. Sparlinek

I did the same thing last year when my laptop wanted a 2.2 kernel and new
pcmcia_cs in order to get the network card working.
I split the big deb's
G'Day !
When I needed to upgrade my system, I used a kernel with a parallel port zip
drive configured as a module. I then put the kernel image on the zip drive
