My appologies, I get both of the following errors: "unexpected
interrupt" & "DriveReady SeekComplete Error" and have confused the two.
As far as I know the "unexpected interrupt" is due to the apm_bios.
Perhaps you could try the kernel mailing list
Thanks for the suggestions. I've compiled a new (v. 2.3) kernel, checked
the appropriate options during the config, fired it up again full of
expectation, only to receive the same error.
Any other ideas?

(this is an AFAIR an undocumented feature of DOS
Someone else replied that this problem was due to APM. I can't find
a way to shut APM down on this 760ED through the BIOS setup, so I
would assume it needs to be done with the PS2 utility. However,
that resides on the Win95 partition of the drive that won't boot.
