problems reading home made DVDs

Greetings, Since I got my new dvd burner I have been trying to read home made data dvd (not video) on my laptop an ASUS L2000d. Sometimes everything works fine (mounting them as auto or iso9660), some others I cant even mount the disk, I have to eject the dvd after a while, and the dmesg log goes l
