I've been looking around a bit to find info about getting my 3COM 3CRSHPW196
working on my laptop (sarge i386) but am getting confused. So before I go any
further I thought I would ask here for advice. Is this card already supported
by sarge maybe, and if not where should I start lo

Hello,
I have installed X today on my Compaq Presario. After a bit of struggling
I had it up and running, in conjunction with fvwm2. However, after
rebooting the pcmcia ethernet card is no longer detected properly.
Instead, this is what I find in my dmesg:

install instead of a CDROM. I downloaded the rescue disk, the kernel
disk, and all 4 driver disks from here: (6 disks isn't too bad)

offered a beta BIOS for my box that might. So if that's the question
