BUT, I think Compiz xgl is for gnome. I remember that once I executed
it on KDE and it changed the windows schemes to a gnome ones. Maybe
there are some options in

Hi Inko,
thanks for the advice. Could you point me to a how-to for installation
of xgl + compiz (preferrebly + KDE) on Debian? I found some repository,
but nothing useful. How did you install those?

As far as I know, the official fglrx drivers doesn't allow composite.
I have an Ati mobility radeon X700 and I didn't manage to activate
composite with those drivers. BUT, on january, debian released new
