but the display leaves window elements and artifacts sprayed around the
screen. With other drivers (eg: vga), I can get a ~320x200 display,
letterboxed in the middle

My XF86Config-4 file and XFree86.0.log follow. It gives X at 800x600,
but the display leaves window elements and artifacts sprayed around the
screen. With other drivers (eg: vga), I can get a ~320x200 display,
