This should work, I guess. It's a modification of my setup. Then
call "cardctl scheme work" when at work, and "cardctl scheme dhcp"
when using a dhcp config. Note the start_fn() and stop_fn(), for
fiddling with eth0. When you reboot, the last used scheme comes up.

Can someone point me to a discussion on this network scheme idea
that is outlined in the pcmcia network scripts?
In theory I should be able to tell the computer a scheme
(home/work, wireless/lan) and it will configure the ifconfig and
route information accordingly.
I am interested in that.

Hi Peter (and Debian Laptop :-),
I have been working on a system for automa
bursting in the middle of the discussion,
but have you looked at the netenv package and tried to see if you can
take advantage of it to setup schemes? It only takes effect at boot
time but might be enough for you?
Hope this helps,

the howto has a pretty good docs on how to do this. it's a little
misleading at first, but everything you need is there.
one problem i do still have, well more of an oddity then a problem, is it's
