actually, i've got nothing in /etc/modules -- but then i configured
nothing as a module for this kernel. do i need to load modules anyway
though???

It would help to know what you mean by "doesn't work".
APM enables you to do several things--what exactly is
it that you cannot do? In other words, what behavior
do you expect and what are you actually seeing?
