Just a quick note to thank Free, Robin, Derek, Bob and Mauro for your very
useful hints with regards to this issue.
It turned out that I had powermgmt-base already installed (and thus
on_ac_power was there). Thanks to Bob I can see the way it works, and since
I don't have any battery in t
I experienced similar problems with anacron, when I went for ACPI from
APM. I simply removed anacron and used cron with sensible timings.
