Yes, the Sony Vaio works in hibernation mode if you configure the kernel proberly. I have a Sony Vaio SR5K, which I just took out of supend/hibernation mode. No special partition needed for supend mode: debian:/usr/src/linux# df -h FilesystemSize Used Avail Use% Mounted on /dev/hda
