Generally this laptop has no problems on 2.6, including acpi for me.
On a side note, has anyone been able to get the easy access keys to work?
Klineak doesn't work for me.
kernel 2.6 works for me on the 700.
On a related note, do you guys know if the easy access keys can be made to
work on the 700 in debian?

kernel first, and if the problem persists, surf to http://acpi.sf.net for
information on how to submit a bug report.
