Is eth0 getting setup when you pop in the card? You should see something like this in syslog: May 17 21:47:09 localhost cardmgr[175]: executing: './network start eth0' And, ifconfig -a should display eth0 as well. If eth0 is there, are you configuring the IP interface right?
