on. I have tried installing 2.1 (from CD and floppy) and 2.2 (from
floppy) without success. What happens is the following:
I get the rescue disk "welcome screen" and I hit enter to boot. It

You can use LILO to select Linux or NT, but...

To answer this section - I am dual-booting Linux and Win2K 'Professional' on
a Dell 7500 very successfully using a standard dual-boot LILO

You say you tried with the CD as well? I have had similarish problems with
installing linux from disk,
