The apm.c looks ok to me... So here is the kernel segment of my kernel, which
includes the apm feature.

I use to stop the PC in any case "init 0" (switch to runlevel 0, which is all
off and power down, this normally works on all distributions/systems).

My Acer Travelmate 225XC with Debian Sarge installed and APM activated in the
kernel doesn't shut down completly. When typing in halt, the system goes down,
but doesn't power off. What can I do? (who ever knows the notebook knows, how
damn stupid the power button must be pushed
