No. The programs you have in your regular Debian dist are good enough.
Avoid kernel 2.5.xx and wait for 2.6.

yeah, the boot floppies are useless with the external pcmcia floppy
drive...
i installed redhat, then used that to create a dos partition and ftp the
files into it, then bootstrap the install out of that...

and root.bin in it, it tells me "File not found" for

the only other thing i can think of is do i need to pass any parameters
to the kernel at boot?
