i have an asus l3c with radeon 7500 and i just installed debian
from knoppix and it works really well with 3D.
but the radeon driver from the 2.4.21 doesn't work well. You have
to download the source of xlibmesa4 and compile its modules.
Then all works great.

i can use my pci card fine.
My only problem is when i have high transfer rates.
when i transfer at , lets say, 200kb a few seconds later the card crashes...
if i only use the card to see webpages it can work for hours..

today i was going to use a alt-gr + key and it didn't work.
No alt-gr + key combination works..
But it's only in X. Using tty1 (i'm not sure that's the name :
ctrl+alt+F1) it works.
I think it was when I updated xfree86 from testing (sarge, i think), but

The problem is when i "Install the Base System" it can't mount debian-cd1
i edited /etc/fstab and added
/dev/hdc /cdrom iso9669 ro,user,noauto 0 0

update:
- added "auto" mode which checks if ac adapter is pluggled in or not and
automatically changes cpu speed ( high or low).
- added a startup script to select the speed based on "auto" mode on
booting.

entender com aquilo pois nao percebia o lilo.conf apos a instalacao de um
novo kernel.
Portanto virei-me para a maneira tradicional.
