AC' 97 sound card problem...

Hello, I've installed knoppix 3.3 on my laptop, an Acer TM230 but i can't hear any sound. Sound card chipset is Intel 802801DB AC'97 and when I type modprobe i810_audio i get this message modprobe i810_audio /lib/modules/2.4.22-xfs/kernel/drivers/sound/i810_audio.o: init_module: No such device
