I run a Satellite 2100CDS
No infrared but I did manage to get USB running and used a webcam.
I'm not sure if the modem is working.
Also X works fast (currently using staroffice) one down side is when I
move a window mij screen start to flikker a bit.. It's just there but I
don't mind. It does not

I frequently hook up mu laptop to different kind of
networks. (They are not connected to eatch other)
I do have a working sendmail configuration file, but I just
want to see if I did it right. Does anybody have
suggestions for me?

I run a 2.2.14 kernel and dhcpcd break under this kernel
so I downloaded and installed the origional dhcpcd kernel.
When I first installed the 'orgional' package I did seen a
simlink between /etc/resolv.conf and /etc/dhcpc/resolv.conf.
Since I don't use the origional dhcpcd pachage I don't know

First try 'ifconfig' to see if the interface is really there.
If there is no 'eth0' don't bother trying the ping anything else.
First get your interface up and running.
If the interface is there, but no IP address has been assigned,
turn of dhcp and give yourselfe a static IP address ( ask you
netw
