ld happen also now.
AFAIK the kernel pulls the events from the ACPI hardware and generates events
in /proc/acpi/event to be read by the acpid.

I'm searching for a way to get my ESS ES1989 Modem to work with Linux
2.4. I've heard there were binary drivers by ESS Tech. for 2.2, but (as
if I didn't expect this) they don't seem to work with 2.4.
I attached the output lspci -vv produces for the Modem and Audio Card.
