Screen sometimes goes black during Xscreensaver

My LCD screen is not as bright as it is in Knoppix or ms-win

I have been using Debian(testing) on my laptop for a while and has successfully fix ACPI problem. Although I can use "Fn" keys to adjust the LCD brightness to the maximum, I still feel it is not as bright as it is in Ms-win. Recently I tried Knoppix's Live CD and it is better - brighter. I am curi
