and my wireless does work with plain PS/2, but then

no wheel. So the point is is it possible to configure X (and/or gpm) to be
able to
use one or the other without having to switch XF86Config files and restart X (I
actually have a little script that changes my XF86Config-4 symlink to either

It is definitely a key mapping problem, I had the same one with sawfish
(under GNOME). Just run xkeycaps and tell it that your alt keys are meta
keys and then change the key bindings with the sawfish config pr

You are running debian right? Use dexter to set up Xfree 4.0.1 in debian it
is much easier and nicer to use IMHO.
