this is cause your generally not going to have the laptop suspended for
long before you are going to use it again to continue off were you left
it at before.
If you hibernate the laptop there should no power going to the USB
ports.
IMHO it is not a bug in the power ma
ing
the 'Locate Pointer' key binding but that seems to be hard coded some
where.

Well, someone had else had the correct answer, look for CONFIG_GAMMA, in
your .config, and disable it. I wasn't thinking quite right.
You can edit your .config directly, I do it all the time. Just make
sure to do a:
make oldconfig
afterwards.
Da
g initrd.

I think the one you'll find you're having problems with is likely:
DRM_GAMMA
Just turn it off if you don't need it.

So has anyone gotten kismet to work on a Powerbook, typical errors I get
is "monitor mode" is invalid for my card. However, MacStumbler seems to
work just fine in OS X. I'm using Ben H's latest stable kernel
2.4.22-pre4-ben0.

Hi there
I'm about to embark on a Debian 3.0 install on my Dell

Nero under windows understands .raw and burns them with no problem.

you just need a current version of wine, add this to your apt sources.list:
deb http://www.wineqh.com/~ovek/ stable/
You'll get the latest stable build of wine built to run on a 'potato' system.
