Can someone open http://mlf.linux.rulez.org/mlf/ezaz/ntfsresize.html.
If yes please send me this FAQ by email.
I would like to ask a quite strange question. I know this might not be
the exact place, but sitll hope that anyone might help.
I have a 40gb hard with just 1 partition on it - NTFS. I want to make
it just 10gb (the data on it is about 5gb). I read that knoppix and
then qtparted should help. But un
I prefer getting the isos because at home I am short of bandwidth. On
the other habd I can download more on another place, say using torrent
or something like this. Just need to know how many of the first CDs I
need for a workstation, not very limited.

So can I set up a normal workstation with those first 3 CDs that you
recomment. And if later on I need to put some server stuff I would
just download it. During the installation how do I know which packages
are on the first 3 CDs so that I will limit my choice only to them.

A friend of mine has bought sarge on CDs from an online reseller
relatively cheap. Unfortunatelly I cannot find him now and ask where
did he get this from. He actually mentioned a price about $10-$15 with
delivery which is almost incredible for 14 CDs.

I am afraid the same might happen to me. That's why my initial idea
was to use the ready cd-images and have them burned.

I am getting the netinst cd for sarge. I only doubt whether I will
manage to make it run with my network. I have got my computer running
Win, so I will be connection the laptio to it and sharing the internet
connection (as I do with another laptop). Would this netcd be able to
get with the network,
I am totally convinced - sarge is the best. Initially I started with
woody because the rest had the "testing" label which could mean many
things especially when it concerns linux.
I hoped that I will be able to buy a cheaper sarge distro but in vain.
I don't want to gove that money if I know that
Ok, I will finally decide on sarge. Anyway can I get this necessary
package from somewhere and put it with the 2.6 on woody.
And by the way. When I went to the resellers list it was written that
most of them sell the distros for less than $5. Then I checked their
sires and didn't find anything les
Ok I might change my mind and start downloading sarge, or just order it. Anyway.
How many of the CDs do I need for a woody installation. I do not mean
only a workstation because I might start putting sever stuff which
will need more CDs unfortunately.
Where can I get the source of the sarge kerne
I will keep in mind that sarge uses 2.6 kernel. I am asking for it
because I read in many sites that this kernel runs well with laptops
and it contains many improvements from 2.4. Actually I started
downloading woody and I have the first several CD-s. Isn't it possible
just to recompile the core fr
debian flavour of the 2.6 kernel or I
should just get the original from kernel.org.
If any of you have passed through this, help.
Thanks,
Atanas Atanasov
