Get two compatible cards that are supported by Linux, a Linux
router, and a PCMCIA-PCI carrier card for one of the wireless
cards, and use that. Personally, I'd say a Lucent Orinoco Gold,
but any that are supported are probably as good. Add two
ethernet cards to your router, and a switch (or a

Yes, with 4.0.2 my Latitude doesn't work while docked either. I have a

XFree 4.0.1.

Actually, I have 2.4.1 working find on my laptop. Since 2.4.0, I have to
pop the card an additional time before it will recognize the card. I'd try
that first.

If you can boot off of your CD, it will be pretty easy. If not, you'll
have to have the 6 floppy set, then load the modules for your pcmcia
card, as well as the cdrom drive (if it needs one). Other than that,
it should be ok.

I asked XFree86 about it, and they had a binary distribution available
that probably includes that fix. It works ok on my Toshiba laptop.
This is the URL they gave me:

Hi all,
Does anyone have any ideas about the sound hardware on a Toshiba Satellite Pro
4300? Windoze says that it is a Yamaha DS-XG, which seems to emulate a
sound blaster (IRQ 5, 0x200, 0x330, 0x388). Enabling SB16 support in my
kernel doesn't seem to do it. Has anyone done this already?

Hi all,
I am specing out a laptop for a company to buy. They want to go with
Quantex as a brand. The one I was thinking of is an IBM Thinkpad. The
purpose is both Debian and Windows.
Does anyone have any experience with the Quantex laptops and Debian?
Thanks,
Aaron
