I have no /var/log/messages or dmesg | tail because the laptop won't boot
into Debian Buster at all.
I managed to use Debian Xfce 10.2 Live Non-Free Firmwares USB Stick. More
information is given below:
user@debian:~$ sudo fdisk -l
Disk /dev/sda: 238.5 GiB, 256060514304 bytes, 500118192 sectors
I am trying to install Debian 10.2 XFCE DVD with non-free firmware.
It says on the monitor everything has completed successfully. Now remove
the removable media from which is the USB stick and boot into your new
system.
But the computer doesn't boot into newly installed Debian Buster.

I fixed the problem by installing from Debian live DVD with Buster's
firmware-all.
That did the trick.

Download the .deb from the link at the bottom of that page and put it on a
flash drive to load into the machine.

As far, as i remember, there is a non-free installer image. I think, i
found the link on the Debian Homepage somewhere.
I already used that for installing Buster on a Packard Bell 10" Netbook
with 2 GB, an N570 CPU and it works great!
