Getting it all to work was so much effort that there must be lots of
other people out there with T23's whose Debian just doesn't work right.

Hi,
you could try to have a look in your kernel and see if the
modules/options to put your card in monitor mode are correctly
selected.

Hello,
After digging around manuals, search engines and forums, I have come to the
conclusion that trying suspend to disk (hibernate) is a hit or miss with an
encrypted swap via LUKS.
What is the state of of doing hibernation with encrypted swap in Debian? After
doing a "fresh install" using t

that corresponds to your pcmcia card.

time you asked), but nothing comes back that looks like a chipset

the scanning and assoc feature will not be activated.
Here's what happened:

Can you reach the AP using any other system / OS? From the same
Yes, there are two access points nearby (one is WEP-protected, the

I have a Toshiba Satellite 2850 laptop running Debian kernel
2.6.18-4-686 with a Linksys wireless network card (pcmcia), model
WPC54G 802.11g.
I followed the ndiswrapper installation instructions from this site --

Hi,
you could try:
cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log and see what is wrong...
If too much output, try cat /var/log/Xorg.0.log |grep EE
lines with (EE) are errors ;)
Hope this helps.
