if you disable usb ports from bios (if it is possible), it will be more
easy :) but, you can do it by adding a line to /etc/modprobe.d/aliases,
like;
alias ehci_hdc off
alias uhci_hdc off
i think, if you plug off all usb devices from computer, there won't be a
problem during istallation beca

do you have any usb devices connected to computer? i had a similar
problem several days ago, i disconnected all usb devices and disabled
usb ports during installation. After making dist-upgrade, all of them
worked problemless.
