Hi,
I have decided that I would like to switch home network (just our two
notebooks) to wireless and I would like to make it WPA-secured. Can anybody
suggest the most simple WPA configuration using wpasupplicant, please?
Thanks a lot,

Have you just tried to use kismet with the card installed? I have
a Netgear WG11 card, and all I had to do to get kismet to work
was set the right stuff in the .conf file, and fire up kismet.
Well, I know that Airodump wants monitor mode on, and "iwconfig eth1

This is driving me nuts. I've got an Orinoco silver card that I wanted
to use with Kismet and/or AirSnort, but I can't put it into monitor mode
(even with the 2.6.12 latest kernel). I've tried downloading the 0.15rc2
version of the drivers and compiling them, but I'm getting some wierd

I've got a custom 2.6 kernel running on a Dell Inspiron 3200.
I am able to use a 16-bit pcmcia ethernet card following 10.10.5, "Network
configuration and PCMCIA" in the Debian reference. (ifupdown controlled
by hotplug with pcmcia-cs confined to loading modules)

I have a Toshiba laptop from the same era with a phoenix bios that is
running sarge. Basically, you don't need the toshiba_acpi module, just
the stock standard acpi.
That and acpid seem to work perfectly for me.

Hi guys,
I'd tried to install Sarge on a Toshiba Laptop with a Phoenix Bios

If I try to load the Toshiba specific kernel module, I'll get the
error message: Device not found.
