i have a samsung x10 running debian sid i m trying to close x server to run nvidia-installer --update but when pressing it restarts again to gnome desktop manager not clossing the xserver any suggestion¡¡ thanks

Hello, Thanks to Martin, I have stated I should give another try to ACPI on my laptop. After little effort and RTFM, I did something but I am kind of blocked now. Here is a resume of the things I've done: 1. Download needed tools (iasl, acpidump) 2. Dump my current (broken) DSDT : acpidump -o d
