it just occured to me - could you use the external mouse with a ps2
-> serial converter and as a serial mouse? I'm sure if you don't have one
lying around you could pick one up for a buck or two at your local
radioshack or computing store.

read of someone using a Mobility Radeon M1 with xfree-3x but i would
like use the 4th version.
I've also tried to configure SVGATextMode but I didn't find the
correct mode.
My laptop is a new HP Omnibook Xe4400
