I installed "whereami" and am running exim as daemon.
I modified the /etc/init.d/networking to check whether there is a link
before trying to bring up an adapter to prevent having to wait for DHCP
time-outs. You can do that by replacing the
"ifup -a"
with
"mii-tool eth0 2>&1 |

I had this problem with a Thinkp
I recently purchased an X23 Thinkpad to replace an aging Thinkpad

Linux. Though two problems remains that I have been unable to solve.

Hi,
I have just upgraded to woody. All is fine on my Thinkpad 560E except if the
machine suspends with xfree86 on the active console, it just hangs. Seems to
also happen if I hit Fn-F7 (CRT-LCD) switch
Any solutions?
Thanks.

Hi *.
In my 8200 is a Mini-PCI Card (usually knwon as TrueMobile) build-in.
All I found about those Cards is, they are supported. - Mine not.
I tried the kernel-PCMCIA and I tried the stand-alone PCMCIA-pakets.
Unfortunately the device 4301 seems to be unsupported(?).
