I've had the Compaq 1700T for over a year now. It's been pretty good.
I've run Red Hat, Slackware, and now Debian Woody on it. To be honest,

Hi *.
Is there any chance to get a BIOS for Dell's 8100, wich allows to
manipulate the clockrating of prozessor and chipset?
I noticed, the 933Mhz prozessor is the same as the 1,13 GHz, just

The actual BIOS does not allow setting timings and change the speed of
prozessor.
Thanks.

I believe the debian install CD can be used as a boot cdrom.

I am thinking of buying a Compaq Presario 1722. Since I intend to run Debian on
it, I thought I could ask for some advice here. Specifically:
- Does the built-in ethernet work ? I think it's a Conexant chip, but I'm not

Assuming you have a cd burner handy, you can simply create a bootable
cdrom with your boot floppy image is the boot image.
