I've just finished installing linux on my acquired 380ED. I've
managed to get just about everything working - except the sound. I've
looked around online - but found little. I was wondering if anyone has
sucessfully gotten the sound to work under linux on a 380ED?

Personally, I use `whereami' to do it. It's a package, which is nice,
though I don't know if it's anywhere but unstable.

Thank you for your reply.
What you propose may work fine if you plug/unplug
your pcmcia card.
But, as in my case,
it is usless if you let permanently you card in its plug:
with realport card pluging means pluging the cable to the card.
Any more idea ?

This is normal behavior from my experience. I've never seen

have a few known hosts or networks at the ISP you could build
a script to inject those host and net routes into the table

Here is my way. Since I am having only one lan connection, I still use a
network start up script in pcmcia
I have a Dell Lattitude CPx and the Xircom CBEM56G-100 card.
When I ran pcmcia-cs-3.1.22 I had to run it in promisc mode
all the time. I upgraded to pcmcia-cs-3.1.25 and now I don't
need to run it in promisc mode all the time, but I have to
