I am getting a low level error on the cdrom drive while trying to install. It
says the cdrom reset power when viewing the kernel messages.

Has anyone tried installing Debian on a Presario 305? I have been trying to
install it on this unit for about 2 days now. I have tried floppy installs,
cdrom installs, cdrom installs on multiple cd's and nothing seems to be working.

Hey,
I've a problem running emacs on my Compaq Armada 7770DMT laptop. The
Alt key isn't working, so I can't get any M-x type commands. Does
anyone know why? Debian is the only dist I've run on this laptop, so I
don't know whether it's a specifically Debian problem.
Help appreciated
Cheers
