tried the actual driver recommended in the XF86Setup, it used the Mach64 driver
when you select the ATI Rage Mobility. Unfortunately this does not work!!!

I started to ungrade to frozen, and at the same time recompile my
kernel to use the lastest pcmcia modules, and switched to kmod
rather than kerneld for looking after modules.
