Hi there,
I reported this bug because I spotted it in the current Debian testing
release. Though I think it's an issue which may still exist in the
current vanilla upstream. But since the TrackPoint is nearly useless
this way I'd hope to get a fix backported to the bullseye kernel.

No, unfortunately that never got resolved. Andrew was able to
reproduce the issue but didn't know why it happened.
