Well, I'm actually using unstable, but linux-image-2.6-686 still pulled
2.6.22. Next time I'll try 2.6.23 but I'll not be near that machine for

I am a new subscriber and have been following the BUGS.
I also am very confused and upset with how Debian development and bug
efforts regarding XEN seem to be avoided. I have followed XEN
development and bugs since the onset and attempted in vain to create any
interest in the debian-user list.
Hi, I just installed linux-image-2.6.23-1-powerpc and rebooted. After
that, I could no longer [use Fn-F1/Fn-F2 to] change the display
brightness. Grepping for CONFIG_PMAC_BACKLIGHT shows:
,[ grep CONFIG_PMAC_BACKLIGHT /boot/config-2.6.2* | ]
| /boot/config-2.6.22-3-powerpc:CONFIG_PMAC_BACKLI

I want to give a public "Attaboy"

to the kernel team, esepcially maks, for the 2.6.23-1 release.
I'm running it now on AMD64/K8T800Pro with RTL-8169, RV280, etc.
No problems at all. The list of bug fixes and improvements

I did as you said below and installed unstable 2.6.23-1-486 #1 Wed Dec 5

and now "le voila" perfect printing with Samsung ML 2010, with all the
same software.
So I reckon it is a kernel bug as the Linux 2.6.22 image on x86 refuses
to print if I

USB devices connected to external hub for USB 2.0 doesn't work
correctly if one of these devices utilises bandwith.
It is a problem for USB audio devices. If such device is working, no
more devices can work, i.e. another USB audio or camera. The

Hi guys,
I stumbled above the changelog of the new kernel image:
" * [i386] Drop k7 images."
It would be really great if you would continue to provide k7-images. Would this
be possible?
Thanks for all your great work and efforts,
Ralf

Hi,
After upgrading to linux-image-2.6.22-3, networking no longer works. In
fact, lspci does no longer show the network card at all.
linux-image-2.6.20-1 (version 2.6.20-3) works fine. dmesg and lspci for
both versions are belo

The Linux kernel with 486 flavour should run on each Intel-based
hardware. The current Debian's Linux kernel does not run on Vortex86SX
hardware.
The Vortex86SX is a cheap System on Chip, which provides CPU
