On testing with kernel 4.3.0-1-amd64 and firmware-iwlwifi version
20160110-1,

I am indeed on a kernel and some X11 components from jessie-backports in
any case for better iGPU support on Broadwell.
Using the latest Intel provided firmware for the kernel driver version
(v13) has resulted in increasing the time-to-failure. It now fails in hours
instead of minutes. Power cycli
But I would suggest to stay on latest kernel from jessie-backports (4.1) and
just copy the latest .ucode for your current wifi card to /lib/firmware
I was doing more research, seeing that your CPU is Broadwell-architectur and
maybe it is better to use latest kernel from jessie backports. Or just t
on initial driver setup I get:

Are you also getting

And are you also getting something like

Before "breaking" something or mess up with random settings (there are a lot
hints around in debians and other forums how to set which parameter in different
.conf files etc.) I have chosen to take latest package from

Wifi was working stable for a few days now, even when using standby and let
running Laptop 8h in Idle.
But today, after 1.5h beeing Idle and screen of, when coming back, Wifi was not
working. Waiting 3 mins as before does not help and I needed to disable and
enable Wifi adapter in GNOME-Networkman
Maybe I should add that if I was running Ubuntu 14.04 LTS that everything was
running smooth without any issues. So its not a hardware or router issue.
