In order to reduce other variables (module load order, etc), can you
reproduce this on the same system, after its already been installed,
simply by varying the kernel you boot? That is, install both
linux-image-2.6.26-1-686 and linux-image-2.6.26-1-486 and see if you
still see the problem by just v
