I got the same problem.
I switched "AGP Frame buffer size" option in BIOS to use more than 16Mb
of memory.
After that i can boot to os setup with "noapic" kernel option.

I've already played with all the ACPI and APIC knobs in the BIOS,
deactivated also USB, sound and such, with no luck. A
