the compaq smart arrays I have use "ida":
/dev/ida/c0d0p5 on / type ext3 (rw,errors=remount-ro)
/dev/ida/c0d0p1 on /boot type ext2 (rw)
/dev/ida/c0d0p6 on /home type ext3 (rw,nodev)
as well as /sys/block/ida!c0d0
The module needed is "cpqarray"
