ThinkVantage button don't work since 2.6.37, I think that this could be
related to this bug.
I need to exec on poweron or resume:
cat /sys/devices/platform/thinkpad_acpi/hotkey_all_mask
> /sys/devices/platform/thinkpad_acpi/hotkey_mask
In 2.6.32 thinkvantage button works ok.

The line echo "DELETEME....." is for debug my hack.
I hope that can be included in next initramfs-tools, that it's really a
good project to create some complex things (livecds, thin clients,
etc...)

I'm working on a small thin client project based on initramfs called TCOS[1].
This is similar to pxes, but I copy my debian installed apps and libs
into initramfs and boot from network throught tftp.
In older version of initramfs-tools
was a bug in kernel < 2.6.5 (don't remember exact
version, sorry) and if put "pci=noacpi" in grub options, all work OK.
Bug was solved in 2.6.11 (don't remember exact, sorry)
This trick don't work in 2.6.17-1-k7 or 2.6.16-2-k7.
